Everyday Make-up Bag!

Sorry for not being around recently, i've been busy with working over the easter holidays, i'm back at uni now and although i have work to do i have a little more free time so i can focus a little bit more on my blog.

I story my makeup in plastic containers, but for the makeup that i wear everyday, so it's easy to grab i store it in this make-up bag from Primark. It's very spacious and easy to chuck in your bag if i need to take make-up with me.

I don't store any make-up brushes in my make-up bag except a small kabuki brush because i have a separate pot which makes them easier to grab, if i need to go somewhere i'll throw whatever brushes i need in there with the makeup.

For base products i have my W7 Prime Magic Face Primer, which makes your skin feel very silky and smooth, i have my Rimmel Stay Matte Liquid Mousse Foundation in Ivory and my Rimmel Stay Matte Powder in Transparent. I also carry my kabuki brush that i got from boots about 3 years ago!

For eyes I have my Natural Collection Eye Lines eyeliner, which is actually my favourite pencil eyeliner, i have my Rimmel Exaggerate Eye Liner in 100% Black and i have two mascaras, sometimes i use both or sometimes i just grab the one, i have the Collection No Clumps Definition Mascara and the Rimmel Scandaleyes Flex Mascara.

For the rest of my products i have my Rimmel Bronzing Compact Powder in Light Matte, my Elf Eyebrow kit (which i love!) my Natural Collection Cream Blusher in Rosy Pink and my EOS Lipbalm for my lips. I change up the blusher and bronzer whenever i feel like i need a change but these are the ones i'm currently using. I will also add lipstick if i'm feeling like wearing lipstick one day and i'm taking my make-up with me!

Storing this altogether makes it a lot easier for me to grab my makeup and do it quickly, especially when i need to be somewhere and i'm running late!

Apologies, update and change.

Sorry I've been a bit AWOL recently, i've been super swamped with uni work and work work and i just haven't had the time! This time of year gets seriously crazy and i've had a hard time keeping on top of everything, but it's almost summer which means lots of blogging! (:

Update update update, i don't really know what to tell ya, lifes been pretty much the same, i got a summer job which i've started so i'm going to be super busy with that earning money and trying to get out of my pesky overdraft! I'd like to do lots in the summer, in particular go to leeds festival but we're going to see what happens pay wise, i'm getting a lot of hours and decent pay in this job so hopefully i'll be able to manage my finances well enough so i can go and have a decent amount of money left to enjoy freshers part 2 in september!

So as of june i officially rent a house, A HOUSE?! what?! i mean, its a student house but still! It's crazy that it's already been a year of university, it feels like yesterday i was moving in and meeting my flatmates. It's been a crazy year and i can only hope it will get crazier. I can't wait to organise my room for next year and properly decorate it, i'm currently in the midst of decorating my room at home to make it more homely so i'll share some of that with you and how i'm going to decorate my room in my uni house! I love decorating right now!

I think that's about it for now! Will give you a DIY decorating update in just a bit! But for now goodbye!

MUA Palettes ♡ Swatches and Review

I own two MUA Palettes, both Heaven and Earth and most recently, Undress Me Too. I've had Heaven and Earth for quite a while now and for £4 a palette I cannot fault the quality, although not the longest last eyeshadow i have to admit it has excellent colour pay off and doesn't crease at all. Luckily I don't have greasy eyelids at all so creasing has never really been a problem for me, occasionally i'll prime my eyes a bit, just with some Collection 2000 concealer and that does make the eyeshadow last a bit longer as it has something to stick to, overall the eyeshadows are excellent quality for the price you pay!

The MUA Heaven and Earth palette I have owned for quite some time so a lot of the colours are used and you can tell which are my favourite and which are used a lot! The Undress Me Too palette is new so i haven't got any use out of it yet, but i think i prefer the colours a lot more on this palette, it can be used for a bit more of a lighter daytime look!

I feel like the Heaven and Earth palette is the perfect warm neutral palette that can be used for both night and everyday use! I've got a lot of use out of it as you can see!

(from l-r) Naked, Devotion, Shy, Fiery, Lavish, Dreamy, Tranquil, Exposed, Reveal, Wink, Obsessed, Corrupt.

What really sold me on the Undress Me Too palette was the taupe-y shade Exposed and the dark black of corrupt as i didn't have any shades like those. I can't wait to try it out!

February Fitness Wish list ♡

Instead of doing my usual clothing/shoes/beauty wish list I decided to create one all for my fitness clothing wishes! Since i've been crazy about the gym and keeping fit lately i thought this was suitable for my current daily life.

L'Oreal Skin Perfection 3 in 1 Purifying Micellar Solution Review

I've been eyeing up this product for a long time, ever since becoming interested in the Bioderma Crealine H2o Cleansing Solution, i decided to try one of the well known dupes which is the L'Oreal Paris Skin Perfection 3 in 1 Purifying Micellar Solution Review and i have to say, so far i am very impressed!

The solution is like a water, which you place onto a cotton pad and wipe across your face, 1 cotton pad does your whole face and it works really well, i feel like it really gets into my pores and clears them out. If i have a little bit more eye make up on, i use one of my Simple Cleansing Make up Remover Wipes first across my eyes to get majority of it off and then use the L'Oreal Solution to go over it and take the rest of my face off. So far it hasn't made me break out, in fact i think it's made my skin a bit clearer because it dissolves the makeup much better then the Simple Make up wipes. The only issues i have with it are if you do accidentally get a bit in your eyes it does sting a little bit and you have to wash it out, it's not too much of an issue because if you're careful it shouldn't get into your eyes, the bottle also squirts the liquid out quite quickly meaning that more comes out then you need but for the price of £3.99 I can't really complain!

Collective Haul - Topshop, H&M, Primark, Superdrug and more!

Now, i'm a student and i have absolutely no excuse for spending so much money over the past week except that i'm home and shut up and leave me alone. Some things were bought by myself and some were bought with a little help from my lovely mother.

I absolutely adore MUA makeup, it's not the best makeup i've ever used but for £4 for an eyeshadow palette and £1 for a lipstick you really can't complain! I got the new Undress Me Too palette, i already own the Heaven and Earth and i thought this was different enough to justify buying, i've been wanting to try it out for a long time now, and i'll definitely give you a review on it when i've been using it long enough! I also bought an MUA Lipstick in Juicy (15) which is a really pretty, not-too-shimmery peachy colour, again i haven't tried it out long enough to give you a review yet but i shall do that!

Now, i've been using Simple moisturiser for as long as i can remember, and after my bottle ran out i decided now i'm a little more interested in skincare, i decided to branch out and try something new, so i bought the L'Oreal Paris Triple Active Nourish Intense Hydrating Moisturiser at my local Savers store, so it was super cheap at £3.99 and so far i really like it! I actually think i prefer it to my simple moisturiser!

As i was heading towards the till at Savers, i spotted this, i used to use the Soap and Glory Hand Food , but honestly i'm getting a bit bored of it and the one i've got is starting to smell a bit funny, so i picked the Possibility Raspberry Pavlova Hand and Nail Cream up and so far i love it! It smells amazing and is really moisturising, i can't imagine it would be any good if you had very dry hands, but mine a fairly normal so it's good for me!

Sure deodorant is my favourite kind of deodorant, although with skincare i'm willing to branch out with deodorant i'm quite happy sticking to what i know and love! Especially since it's usually quite cheap and you can often get it on offer! So i picked some of that up, i also needed some new shower gel now usually i go for products that look or seem a bit more luxurious, but i decided to pick up the Tango Invigorating Shower Gel in Cherry because it looked fun and who doesn't want their showers to be fun? I haven't used it yet but it smells AMAZING!

Again, an old favourite, although i recently purchased the L'Oreal Skin Perfection 3 in 1 Purifying Micellar Solution (review to come) which i LOVE! It's always nice to have some wipes for those days where you don't want to go through the effort of going to the bathroom and cleansing your skin but still want to take your make up off.

My mum allowed me a cheeky primark purchase of this black bag which is amazing for uni, although i recently bought my River Island bag for everyday use it's just not big enough to carry around all my uni stuff when i'm going to lectures so I thought this was perfect for that an i love it! I also bought this make up bag because i've decided i'm going to slim down my make up collection and make it easier for me to grab my everyday make up, because i make a mess of my room every morning rooting for the everyday make up! Plus its a super cute pattern and a girl can never have too many make up bags.

I went for a little shop with my friend today around a retail park and i've been look for some decent plain black shoes for a while now, and i found some in H&M for only £9.99! Hopefully they're sturdy enough to last a little while longer then the Primark flats!

Also from Primark i bought these really cute trainer socks that look great when wearing converses! and also look nice with ankle boots! I also bought four pair of underwear (i've worn 2 of the pairs) as i love how cheap they are!

From Topshop, i bought these two tops in the sale! Although very summery I could definitely make them work if i wore a nice cardigan and a pair of high waisted jeans or something leading up to summer! The pink crop top was £3 and the black polka dot top was reduced to just £1.80 which is amazing considering the original price was £10! I love Topshop sales!

That is everything! Hopefully you won't be seeing any more hauls from me for a while because i need to stop buying clothes that i can't afford! I just thought i'd treat myself because i'm at home! Everyone deserves a little treat now and then.

Elf Haul

I've never tried Elf products before and I've been wanting to get some for a very long time! I finally found the time to sit down and go through the website and get what i needed, there's lots of things i want to try from Elf but being a student i don't have an awful lot of money and spending money on makeup is not what i need. But as i need things i'll probably add a few things to my basket that i probably could do without but want to try!

I haven't tried any of these products out yet as i only received them in the post today! But they look really good and there's been a few good reviews about several of the products i chose so i'm excited!

I'm particularly excited to try the Elf Eyebrow Kit as i've heard very good reviews on it and i've been desperate to try to find a new routine for my eyebrows! I'll be sure to put a review up if i really like it.

Lots of love xo

What I Got For Christmas!

This post is very very belated, it being the 13th january i should have probably got this up earlier but unfortunately i left my camera at uni so i couldn't take any pictures of my presents and then it took me a while to get them together so i could take pictures of them! But FINALLY, here it is! What I got for christmas 2013...

So here is all of my presents, i was extremely lucky this year! Although this may not seem like a huge amount to some people but as i've got older i've realised what's really important about christmas and that's the people you're with and now the presents you receive. I got the usual lot of chocolate, pyjamas and socks and some other larger, more expensive things which i was very happy with!

I've been wanting to try the tangle teezer out for a very very long time and i'm so happy i got one! It's definitely one of my favourite presents, i have to admit i did keep using it and then putting it back in the box so i could bring all the packaging to uni and photograph it properly, i just couldn't resist using it though! I'm very pleased with it so far!

My very best presents were my real techniques brushes! Now, once again i couldn't resist using them which is why they're looking a little grubby! I'm very happy with them as well, i'm looking forward to getting the Starter eye set now!

My present from my dad was another iPhone 4! Unfortunately my old one completely broke and i was really really disappointed because i feel like i cant live without an iPhone now! So he surprised me with this and i was very happy!

These amazing Cath Kidston mugs were bought for me, by my best friend from back home Emma and i absolutely adore them, when i used to work with her at a garden centre, we sold these and i was longing for them for so long, i'm so so happy she bought them and i'm saving the especially for september when i move into my new house at uni!

Perks of being a Wallflower is one of my favourite films of all time and i was yet to get it on DVD so my mum kindly bought it for me, i've watched it a few times already oops! The american pie collection is something i've wanted for so long, i've only watched the first one so far but i'm sure i'll get a lot of use out of this as i find the american pie films very funny!

The soap and glory scents are my favourite body sprays to wear! They're so easy just to spritz on, i also love how quick and easy the moisturiser is to spray on and go, so i'm so happy my mum surprised me with these, i definitely didn't expect to get these!

I'm very very pleased with this years haul i couldn't have asked for much more to be honest, considering i struggled compiling a list in the first place! I'm sorry the quality of these pictures is not amazing, but i really struggle with lighting in my uni room so i'm gonna have to figure something out for that! Although its late, hope everyone got everything they wanted for christmas!

Lots of love xo
